"Is this artist known as Junior Baines? Knew him when a child and he gave my mum a great painting. I now have it! One of his very early ones. Would love to contact him.His parents were Peg and Jim living in Penshurst, Sydney."

"I was so excited to find info on James on Hannah West site. My late husband was Des Moore of Cooktown, who was a signwriter and knew James who gave him a signed print of Papitarrakin. It was mslaid when he left Mt. Isa but now hangs proudly in my lounge in Perth. I was particularly excited to see Simmo looking so much as he always was, especially as there was an old ute in the background which he used to use for his Poverty Honey and I actually painted the awful logo on the side. Des was teaching me to signwrite and it was the first attempt I had ever done. I hope James gets to see this and know about Des. I'm sure he would remember him as he was such a character. Would be happy to give him further details on my email. Regards Hazel Moore. ( This is not for website- thankyou.)"

"Dear James,I live in Broome and love your painting of Broome's HistoryWhere is it ? Can I purchase it?How do I go about finding itregards Sue"

"The two paintings of James Baine are very different from each other. I am surprised you would use two such different images to represent yourself, but, then, as with so many artists, you seem to work in different styles depending on your purposes, the old "art for myself, and art for display (or whatever). Anyway, leaning more towards abstraction myself, I like the lines color, shapes and energy of the first particularly."
