I love innovative art especially that which can be blended with humour and definitely love thought provoking pieces. Truly, I don’t feel anything for this artist. I love the essence of the images he’s used and the blend of contemporary language and retro imaging, but most I truly don’t get. It seems like a joke only he is in on.

I dig Joe McKay’s Art. Sometimes there’s obvious humor with the juxtaposition of elements and sometimes it’s just an interesting interplay of images. Sometimes I say “Oh yeah, I get it” but then I look again and say “Hmmm, well, maybe it’s this…” If you’d like a nice change of pace for your eye and something to make you think a bit, explore the art of Joe McKay.
