The brushstrokes remind of me of Van Gogh which is my favortie artist! So I love it. Perfecto.

Very interesting and the technique reminds me of Van Gogh’s.

(p.S. What is up with Z01?)

I love the way the artist is able to describe the form with repetitive stitching. I like the cleanness and feel like the size of the embroidered figures, in comparison to the canvas, is effective. It really pulls you in, makes you take a second and third look, then you realize you are intently studying this person you do not know. It is kind of uncomfortable, you feel as if you’ve done something wrong. Here you are staring and staring at someone. The longer you stare, the more real that embroidered person feels and then all of a sudden you feel intrusive and rude! I think it’s neat, and I appreciate the drawings, paintings, and photography. I really enjoyed the photography, actually. They all seem to have a punchline, or an underlying irony. They really made me giggle, I could see someone pointing these scenes out to me and having a great giggle fit over them.

Your embroidery pieces are off the chains. I checked your site and i would say “Censored” is my favorite. My guess is that it’s difficult to keep that linen clean while you work on these.

keep up the good work

I’m truly impressed with the embroidery creating the image, especially displayed on a large canvas. But I don’t “get” the subjects in the paintings… most look like they feel very sick. The photography was a disappointment, almost a sarcastic joke to see how bad photography can be and still be called art? I wish I understood better so I could take something from it.

Definitely an extraordinary use of medium and provocative.
