Jenny Kendler received a Masters of Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006.
Her work deals with the complicated relationships between human beings and the natural world. The Endangered Species Condom Project, a project she participated in, was recently profiled in The New York Times and featured on a billboard in Times Square.
Kendler has been featured in The Chicago Tribune, Businessweek, The American Scholar, Juxtapoz, Orion Magazine, ReadyMade Magazine, NY Arts Magazine, Gapers Block, The Chicago Reader and others. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues such as Exit Art and Mulherin + Pollard in New York City, Yeosu Art Festival in Korea, Claremorris Gallery in Ireland, and Columbia College in Chicago.
In 2011, Kendler had her first solo exhibition at Johalla Projects and ADA Gallery. In October 2012 her second solo exhibition will take place at BOLT Residency, where she is a recent artist in residence. A public arts initiative by Johalla Projects and The Chicago Transit Authority plans to feature her art in the Damen Blue Line train station Chicago in 2013.
