Joyce Varvatos has been an art advisor for nearly two decades, working to build private collections with a focus on contemporary art, both emerging and established. She has a gallery page on ArtNet.com which highlights some of these artists.
In 2004 she directed and produced the featured documentary Off the Canvas, which profiled 9 maverick New York women dealers including Ileana Sonnabend, Marion Goodman, Paula Cooper, Mary Boone, Barbara Gladstone and others.
Prior to that Ms. Varvatos was advertising director of Art in America and curated several exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles. She received her Masters degree from Fordham and bachelors from Cornell University.
