Rita Isabel is a student of fine art at Universidade de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal.
The Feculdade de Belas-Artes curriculum includes design, video, and multimedia, but Isabel focuses primarily on photography and illustration.
Her work depicts imaginary places and ghostly human and animal figures. She derives inspiration from the ‘frightening stories’ of Japanese myth.
In 2006, Isabel won several prizes for a group project.
