Erik Otto was born and raised in the SF Bay Area, and has worked professionally in the arts for over ten years.
Apart from his art practice, Otto designs and builds installations, theater sets, retail store fronts, and independent film sets on commission. In a recent residency at Recology San Francisco, he created a show from only repurposed found and salvaged materials.
Otto strives to make work that is both expressive and conceptual, which captures the moment where beauty meets chaos. His work has been exhibited on street corners and in distinguished galleries alike.
