Kim was born in Atlanta, GA but now lives in San Francisco, CA. Her art training came from the Academy of Art College in SF. Since then she has show extensively across the US including recent shows at the Julie Nester Gallery, Fontbonne University Fine Arts Gallery, ARTZONE 461 Gallery and the Dolby Chadwick Gallery.
Kim’s work is also a part of the public collections of The Crocker Art Museum, The San Jose Museum of Art, The Bolinas Museum and Johnson & Johnson.
"Her work reminds me of the Bay Area Figurative Movement. She uses confident gestural strokes and intense color temperature shifts on the bodies. I love how she breaks down the shapes into abstract color fields that only hints at what is actually happening in the space."
