Maria Rendon was born and raised in Mexico City. She received a BFA at Universidad Anahuac in Mexico and a BFA at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. For the past 14 years she has worked as an illustrator, exhibited in galleries and taught at her alma mater.

"What was the inspiration for the second artwork, I wonder because I am doing a focus on lobotomy in my artwork at the moment and relized that the missing clockwork (yellow sector of the brain) in your artwork is the same part affected by a lobotomy!"
