Virginia Derryberry’s work is shown regularly in exhibitions throughout the United States in such venues as the Carnegie Museum of Art, Forum Gallery, NYC, the London Institute of Art, the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC, the Gelb Gallery at Phillips Academy, MA, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Morris Museum of Art, the Erie Museum of Art, and the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. Ms. Derryberry’s paintings have been written about in a variety of publication outlets, and her awards include the publication of a portfolio of her paintings in “New American Paintings, South”, volume 82, (2009), two Individual Artist grants from the state of Georgia, a residency at Moulin a’ Nef, Auvillar, France, and the 2005 Annual Artist Fellowship from the Southeastern College Art Association. Her work is represented in numerous private and public collections (see artist resume). Recent solo exhibitions have been held at Vanderbilt University’s Sarratt Center, the Staples Gallery at Wichita State University and the William King Regional Art Center (an affiliate of the Virginia Museum of Fine Art).
