About Elena

Elena was born in Moscow, Russia and earned an MFA from the Moscow University of Cinematography. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in the San Francisco and Berkley areas of California. In addition Elana has won several awards for her work including the Award of Excellence at Northern National Art Competition.

However, like the lower picture, visiting the artists website, we are denied that connection: the eyes are obscured. I find that uncomfortable and anaesthetising. The eyes betray emotion. Obscuring them obscures the moment."
