These images are a tribute to the partnership between four housing providers and the HIV-positive, multiply diagnosed clients they serve. Departing from usual portraits of clients and providers, these photographs are portraits of spaces in which persons with AIDS are housed and recieve services. Many of these images capture attempts homeless persons have made to transform institutional space into personal places, thus revealing a sense of the individual even though she or he is absent.
