Yasuaki Okamoto is New York based artist who lived in Tokyo, London, Barcelona and Montreal. While living and traveling around various countries, he found inspiration based on his experiences.
Yasuaki explains the work by saying, “My paintings perform a kind of surrealist that incorporates animals, plants, everyday objects, landscape, and ethereal beings. I paint them into my paintings as an icon of a death, life, and/or nature… My work is metaphorically based and inspired by my travel throughout Europe, Asia and North America.”
