About Amy

Amy Crehore’s oil paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums on both coasts and commissioned by America’s top publishers. Her newest series paintings, “Little Pierrot”, “Monkey Love”, “Blues Gal” and “Lolita” series, have gained her an international following. Crehore’s mysterious, pop surreal narratives are playful and poetic revealing a preference for vintage musical instruments and a knowledge of art history.

Magazines such as The Atlantic Monthly, Business Week, ESPN Magazine, Esquire, Forbes, GQ, The Los Angeles Times, MS., The New York Times, Outside, Playboy, Redbook, Rolling Stone, and Texas Monthly have featured her work since 1991.

"Nice paintings, but she doesn't know much about sizing her characters. Look at how large the woman is compared with the small child and the monkey.Also, her women all look the same with the same hair and eyes.Michelangelo did this effectively with his pieta, but she kind of misses the mark.As I said, nice painting though and good colors."
