About Vincent

Vincent Vergone is a sculptor from Paris, France. He explains his work by saying, “my work is a research on the human face as a mirror of the soul. I’m following the research of Giacometti, Germaine Richier, Carpeaux, Donatello and I’m very interested by egyptian sculpture, archaic greek sculpture, khmer sculpture, etc. I think that art have to be at the confluence of the different cultures of the world, and question the meaning of our life.”

"Very expressive faces reflect a deep sensitivity and awareness on the part of the artist. Even though it is the artist's stated intent to represent a "confluence of the different cultures," these are deeply personal images that, to me, seem to speak on a more intimate level. Evocative and touching. Thank you."
