Carlo Borer has been a freelance artist since 1981.
Initially, Borer was focused chiefly figurative painting, drawing, and three-dimensional work made of polyester and electrical light, but since 1991 he has using 3D computer graphics to design his work.
His steel and aluminium sculptures range from installations and furniture to utilitarian objects such as espresso machines, ventilators, and mailboxes. They are designed using specialist CAD software. Objects are first cut from a sheet of metal using lasers, then rounded off and welded.
His work has been exhibited in Germany.
