"Guy is one of those artists that takes a simple idea but executes it so beautifully you can't help but be captivated and drawn into its arms. Just like the book it is carved from, his works drag my imagination into a subtle journey of intrigue and nostalgia."

"lookie here"

"its amazing, I want to crawl up in there and live in there. I wish they would use this kind of amazing stuff for inspiration for movie sets, because this could really help!!!"

"i know what the first picture is but the second one leaves me stumed.................i don't know."

"'reading takes you to a faraway land', its true, read inbetween the lines and the venture is much more enjoyable, like this picture"

"ps. Not mentioning any names, but WHY would a previous poster use an odiously trite truism to comment on this remarkable artist's work, then add further insult by saying nothing more? Sigh... It's almost as bad as the person who is so used to being spoon-fed everything sit-com style that they "don't understand it." What sad commentaries on our society, but how ironic that they show up here. *shakes head sadly*"

"Art is not simply the ability to render something in a way the intended audience finds pleasing. Art is the ability to seek out beauty and recognize it when it lies before you, then somehow to capture it without corrupting it. In my several decades on this earth I haven't seen anyone preserve the purity of that moment better than you do in your photos, Mr. Laramee."

"Good to know that Mel and Jean are in the minority. To you both, I say, it's such a pity that you can't understand the metaphor. Or do you simply want pretty pictures of the natural world, to serve as elegant picture windows to the kind of Nature we've - inevitably - left behind?Yes, Guy Laramée is a man after my own heart - a capable maker of fine, interesting, challenging and sometimes even beautiful works of art in many media. His work speaks to those who will listen. I really like the first work shown here - it makes one realise that behind any simple scene, even just a hut in the snowy woods, there lie volumes and volumes of unimagined story. Everybody and every place, everything and every part of our whole, wonderful, complex world has a story that we are the richer for seeking to understand - or the poorer for ignoring."

"WOW! I've never seen anything like this before and I must say it blew my mind! Art can be anywhere, it's all in the imagination to decide what do with it."

"I don't know..... I guess it's not my type, I don't really understand it I hope everyone else enjoys it at least."
