Cesar Del Valle is a Colombian artist whose hyper-realistic illustrations decorate modified paper and walls to original effect.
His technique is to modify the surface he is working on to interact with his subject. For example in his Balance series, human figures are depicted trying to escape their torn paper surface or struggling to keep it crumpling upon them.
In other works, Del Valle has carefully placed life-size subjects on walls to create the illusion that they are interacting with the three-dimensional space around them.
