Thomas Beale is a full-time artist working out of Emergency Arts in the Chelsea Neighborhood of New York City. He once spent 9 months in Kyoto, Japan where he studied traditional architecture and made sculptures with the sponsorship of the U.S.- Japan Creative Artist Fellowship, a grant administered by the National Endowment for the Arts. Thomas was the youngest recipient of this award in the fellowship’s 27-year history.
