About Rondle

Rondle West is mostly self-taught. His assemblage sculptures reflects a fondness of found objects and consists of metal, wood, toys and spray paint, as well as different types of adhesives.

He uses cartoons characters, pop culture references and science fiction or technological elements—all forged into one statement on religion, evolution and science—and the result is often so overwhelming that one struggles to comprehend the different levels of texture at play.

’You never quite know where to direct your eye first,’ he says. ‘For me they’re like little mini stage sets. They tell a story. It’s like looking at a theater production.’ West lives in Cincinnati and Palm Springs.

"I see it as a stretch to say West is ripping off Kulski. Yes, they are both working in assemblage but the emotional content is different."

"have to laugh at people who claim he is copying someone else...that would mean that everyone who paints a sunset is copying someone else because a sunset has already been painted. Each individual creative expression is just that...'an individual creative expression'"

"same themes, same mounting techniques, same composition but not the same imaginative quality as Kris Kuksi. I guess you cant teach imagination."

"The art works of Rondle West and Kris Kuksi have absolutely nothing in common. All appearances of similarity are illusions. All claims of ownership are delusions."

"Beautiful art works!"

"I absolutely love these assemblages! I feel like a kid in a candy store....just looking at all the different elements. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!"

"You're copying Kris Kuksi's style, techniques and overall theme. That's not so much the problem, the fact that you fail to mention it is. Give credit where it's due."

"what talent"

"Yea, I'd say total rip off of Kuski."

"Dale Its more the fact that this type of sculpture has not really been done and the fact that he chooses to pick some of the exact same subjects really seems too coincidental. I even Wrote Kuksi about this and he agrees and pretty much stated exactly what you said would be West's argument. My biggest problem is that he is claiming it as his original idea and thats like painting a surrealist painting and saying that it was all from the top of my head and who's Salvador Dali or Max Ernst... see my point. His high gloss paint obviously deceived you."
