Nick on his work:
Each floppy disk used in the paintings has a history and story of its own. It represents the increasing pace of the modern life cycle, where objects are created, used and disposed of quicker than ever. To challenge this notion, as these personal artefacts of life are cast aside, the obsolete are now given new life and a renewed purpose by using them as a medium for art.

Our increased pace of life and its effects on society and the individual psyche is a subject I ponder often. This discarding of materials at a ever increasing pace is also something I lament. In an architecture studio project I am attempting to reconcile both this issues. Any suggestions?

Reminds me of an album. Very creative, I like the different things you can pull out of this picture.

Although the finished artworks don’t appeal to me (just goes to personal taste I guess), I very much dig the interesting concept of reusing obsolete media by turning it into art.
