About Tertia:
The paintings of Tertia du Toit have been described as an uninhibited outpouring of inspiration, life and creativity. Through a lyrical focus on the female figure du Toit evokes a sense of joyous sensuality in life itself. Not cluttered with inpenetrable symbolism her works are a classic invitation to take part in a contemporary “joie de vivre”.
so inspiring!!!!
“…she wore scarlett begonias tucked into her curls…”
Veryyy intriguing!!!!! absolutely brilliant design. the colors are beautiful, and you show intense effort and creativity. well displayed ideas, moods etc. outstanding.
it seems to me that the target represents how peacfulness and beuty in woman can be putting them dirrectly in harms way,… not shure about the other one.
over all, these painting deffiantly show tallent. keep up the good work
She celebrates women, representing the innocence and playfullness, and the sensuality all rolled into one, Like REAL women ARE, and who better to lead women THROUGH the lipstick revolution than a South African Woman? bravo!
…a well used target, but that is no worry to this sprite who seems to be joyously tempting fate, as only youth will do.
Excellent! It is wonderful to see a representational artist with a narrative bent.
hmmm does look like a target but more as if the yourng woman is putting HERELF in harms way…maybe to prevent more destruction? thats a self satisfied smile after all
Thematically: Jesus-like farm boy/girl with a halo/target/windmill overhead during harvest.
If I look at these paintings, I feel so happy to be a woman.
Tertia certainly put a smile on my face.
poerfully positive and the use of color is spiritually uplifting. I like the way you dont see many artists with sunshine.
