Love your work. Would like to see more.
I really like your color use.
The upper picture, where the viewer can connect directly with the subject through eye contact, is very engaging. However, like the lower picture, visiting the artists website, we are denied that connection: the eyes are obscured. I find that uncomfortable and anaesthetising. The eyes betray emotion. Obscuring them obscures the moment.
has an impressionist manet portrait feel mixed with a Goya sublime creepiness. yay for the 1800’s.
beautiful, yet haunting.
its kind of freaking me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can feel my soul.
Oh! This work is absolutely breathtaking.
These paintings seem very vintage. I love how you can read the expression off of the eyes.
Finally – Back to the origins of painting!! So many artists today think that we need weird, obscure, hidden meanings for art to be real and worthwhile… I like this. It’s not pretentious like all of that other stuff on here of late!! I give it a 5!
