The Minimum Monument is a public art installation that consists of many small ice sculptures of men and women each 20 centimeters tall, placed on the front steps of buildings.
Images of The Minimum Monument have received worldwide attention, becoming a warning of the dangers of global warming and raising awareness beyond the contemporary art realm.
It has travelled to many cities around the world. With the help of passers-by, these ice sculptures are installed and then left to melt.
