About Barnaby:
Beautiful and deeply twisted are words I’ve heard used to describe Barnaby’s painting style. His work is as intriguing as it is stunning. Barnaby is represented by 31grand in New York and will exhibit there later this year.

I completely agree with Roger and Al

Beautiful is accurate. Deeply twisted? I don’t think so…rather, I see it as prophetic: revealing truth about the reality of the human experience. Perhaps that is what is meant, but I don’t think “twisted” comes off right. Art is not twisted, life is ironic and often seems to mock us. A lot of art portrays just that–and I think this work is an excellent portrayal.
Roger–what do you mean “art for art’s sake?” I’ve never understood that expression. I think perhaps we have very different connotations of the word “art.”

I like the umpa-loompa (self?)portait…it reminds me of being creeped out by them when I was a child! LOL

Looks like a Umpa Loompa secretary. Willie Wanka called and said you took his copy rights

Maybe its the mood I’m in but I don’t feel the sincerity and genuiness of this artist is real. I feel he is making “Art” for “Art’s” sake. Sorry. Talented technique. Skilled painter.

I like the play of the colors in this painting style. It raises new feelings and shows new point of view in the imagination.
