Beautiful, I think the female is beautiful. I see her as vulnerable yet strong, something has taken her aback, but she will have the resolve to do what she has to do.

Saw him in a published art magazine- he did a portrait demonstration, starting from scratch. It’s all about the subject’s personality instead of the artist’s (realism, focusing not on brushstrokes but the subject itself). Enjoy.

Amazing! I have the same feeling when I see a Gerome. The fact that your painting looks photographic is an enormous accomplishment and it puts you in another league. Yes, your paintings are polished and truely exquisite. I wish I could watch you paint. Can you concentrate with such a painting style with activity around you or do you have a quiet studio? The painter in a scene in the movie, “All the Mornings in the World” was working on a still life and I imagine it would be rather like that- calm, when you steady your hand and apply the paint to the canvas.
